Looking for James

After my farewell party the night before in St. Ives feeling the worse for wear I bordered a train and headed for Newbury where I was going to meet up with Pauly, my son, and friends. As I chugged into Newbury I was feeling so horrific I knew my first stop had to be a chemist. James Lowry, an old friend was there to meet me. As I staggered to his car I told James that we had to stop off at a chemist as I urgently needed medication but I didn't tell him it was for my hangover. We sped off in the direction of the nearest town. James thought there was a chemist in the first arcade we came to. So I shot out while James circled the block as you know how difficult it is to park in Pomland. After I had purchased everything you need for hangovers I hurried out to see a red car with the door open and I thought Oh Sweet, James has not only found parking but he has left the door open for my convenience. I rushed for the car dived in packages in hand and without looking up dumped everything in my bag while thanking James profusely for being such an angel. A strange silence made me look up and when I did I met the petrified eyes of an extremely scared and agitated old man who obviously thought I was rummaging in my bag for a weapon and was going to hold him up. The shock of seeing this strange apparition immediately went to my lungs and I started to scream a long blood curdling scream and fell backwards out of the car. I jumped up and fortunately saw James in the distance looking frantically for me. I ran towards him incoherent and gesticulating wildly. You can imagine James's confusion he had dropped a relatively sane person at a shopping mall and now was confronted by some wild eyed maniac. After a hurried explanation I made James go up to the car and apologize on my behalf to the terrified man behind the wheel. The poor old chap's mouth was still open in shock and hands were frozen to the steering wheel. James gave an explanation as I waved feebly in contrition but he didn't wave back.
